Sweet Traditions - The Resilient Story of the Sweet Potato
Discover Fort Canning’s history through the versatile sweet potato in this workshop. Learn to make ang ku kueh, explore the crop’s wartime significance, and take home recipes and insights that celebrate resilience, adaptability, and the park’s enduring heritage.

Crafting Botanical Soap and Spice Garden Tour

Then, learn to create your own biodegradable liquid soap using soap berries (Sapindus mukorossi)—nature's sustainable cleaning solution.

Echo Pavilion
Echo Pavillion celebrates its history through sustainable materials, woven spices, and fishing net hammocks. This immersive installation reflects resilience, cultural heritage, and environmental awareness, connecting the hill’s storied past to a sustainable future.

Join us for hands-on craft activities, including planting your own plant pots, building your own 3D models of the Fort Gate, making your own spice cards, and colouring activity sheets!

Spice Garden Tour
Join us for a fascinating guided tour of Fort Canning Park's Spice Garden, where you'll discover the rich history of spices and their profound impact on Singapore and the region's culinary, medicinal and economic development. Situated on the grounds of Singapore's First Botanic Garden, where more than 300 nutmeg and clove trees once flourished, the Spice Garden offers a sensory journey through its aromatic plants. Immerse yourself in the experience as you smell, touch and admire the vibrant colours of these spice plants.
