The classic Peranakan dessert of ondeh ondeh (balls of sweet potato glutinous rice oozing with gula melaka or palm sugar) is always a delight to sink your teeth into.  Trainers from cooking school Food Playground will teach you how to sculpt and construct the sweet balls of joy in this culinary workshop.  Psst, the recipe calls for just five or so key ingredients so you might be surprised at how good you are at recreating this tea-time favourite for your next gathering with family and friends!

Food Playground is a cooking school offering both online and in-person cultural cooking classes and corporate team building workshops since 2012. Being a social enterprise, we provide flexi-work employment opportunities for stay-at-home mothers and active seniors who otherwise have limited avenues to return to the workforce by empowering these women through structured training to develop them into confident culinary instructors and corporate workshop facilitators.
