The Legend of Badang by Bhaskar’s Arts Academy
The local story of Badang is given a Kathakali twist in this presentation. The dancers enact out Badang’s acquisition ofsupernatural strength and his eventual victory in lifting and throwing the massive stone called the Singapore Stone.

Bhaskar's Arts Academy
Bhaskar’s Arts Academy is a Singapore-based Indian classical dance, music and theatre company that has grown with the nation since 1952. Initially helmed by the pioneer dance  couple the Bhaskars, the Academy is now led by their  daughter and Young Artist Award recipient (1996) Ms Meenakshy Bhaskar. Along with its teaching wing Nrityalaya  Aesthetics Society, BAA is steadfast in its mission to touch lives by championing Indian performing arts on stage and beyond.
