Join our show-and-tell in the Architectural Conservation Laboratory (ArClab), which is situated in the Blair Plain conservation area. In this guided tour, get a sneak peek into the trajectory of the ArClab as a research centre and training centre for capacity-building, then join us for another guided tour around the Blair Plain conservation area to better understand what heritage conservation means in Singapore’s constantly evolving urban landscape.

Come and learn about our latest research projects, in which we collaborate with various local and international cross-disciplinary research partners, and view the physical testing prototypes of our research, which aim to use technology to develop ideas and innovative solutions for advancing conservation and climate-resilient built heritage transformation.

For capacity-building, the ArClab’s historic fabric is used as a living laboratory to teach cohesive training programmes based on the UNESCO Competence Framework for Cultural Heritage Management. Products and outcomes of the hands-on training programmes are displayed for visitors to observe.
