Through a series of 11 stories, The Lives of Farrer Park is a love letter to the people that made it special. The world will always need a place like Farrer Park: a town square, a place for people to gather and to make connections, and eventually, a place with legacies shared between generations. In each story, a different life of Farrer Park is explored through the memories and footsteps of past athletes, who frequented the grounds as children and who return with fuller lives as adults, to testify to what stood here and what made it special as the centre of Singapore sport for a century. This documentary was directed by paralympic swimmer Toh Wei Soong and filmmaker Ric Aw, with support from the National Heritage Board. Wei Soong began swimming at Farrer Park at the age of 15 under the tutelage of two-time Olympian and Singapore swimming legend Ang Peng Siong.
This programme is a collaboration by National Heritage Board and Toh Wei Soong.
