Acquaint yourself with one of Singapore's significant places for football and revel in the exuberance of our very own unique brand of sportsmanship! United in the common hope for a local victory, generations of Singaporeans will remember snapping up tickets and descending on Jalan Besar Stadium for the Malaya and Malaysia Cup. Standing shoulder to shoulder in its stands, they cheered on local sporting greats like Quah Kim Song and Fandi Ahmad. The pair were among the sterling lineup of footballers who often smashed it out of the park, deftly navigating their way to wins and triumphs in nail-biting finishes. Were you part of the great fanfare?

Completed in 1929, the facility at Tyrwhitt Road in Kallang has hosted numerous sporting milestones, having been the go-to spot for tournaments, cups and championships before the National Stadium rose some four decades later in 1973. It continues to be a popular spot for training among young sporting starlets like Ilhan Fandi Ahmad. Walk the stadium’s hallowed grounds this SHF! Our tour grants you special behind-the-scenes access to its locker rooms and a chance to step into the shoes of yesteryear athletes, reliving the blood, sweat and tears of some of Singapore’s most epic football matches.
