Through Nature: A BBB Edition

The Through Nature video takes its audience on a journey through the beating heart of Singapore civic district, the Bras Basah.Bugis district. Using dialogue between a child and his grandfather, the videos highlight lesser-known natural heritage spots in the area.

Singapore has long been recognised for establishing a concrete-filled, economically-driven society from an island that once relied on street traders and settler communities. The same can be said for the Bras Basah.Bugis (BBB) District - an area that was once permeated with natural heritage is now the beating heart of Singapore’s civic centre, thriving with arts and heritage.

The video will examine the relationship between the museums and monuments present around the district and the natural landscapes that occupied the spaces decades ago. The video will take audiences through the developmental phases of the district and re-emphasise the importance and influences of its natural heritage roots.

This video is produced by students from NAFA Arts Management students as part of the Singapore HeritageFest Youth Panel.
