Shophouses in Singapore were built mostly around the late 19th century, and different styles of conserved shophouses are found in the ethnic enclaves and business districts of Chinatown, Little India, and Arab Street. Shophouses in Singapore have become synonymous with local architecture and have become tourist attractions that tell stories of our country's rich multicultural and architectural heritage.
Join us in this lecture-demonstration workshop where participants will learn about the history and heritage of shophouses in Little India; while also constructing their very own Lego shophouse!
