Explore one of the significant places for the Orang Pulau community; West Coast Park. Also known as Pasir Panjang, it is the only place that collectively berths the sampans of the active members who used to live in the southern islands.

Orang Laut SG

Orang Laut SG is a descendant-led collective dedicated to bringing light to the traditions and cultures of the Orang Laut/Orang Pulau community. Driven by the goal to reclaim the narrative of the Southern Islands, the collective advocates for the cultural preservation of the Orang Laut/Pulau culture through the reclamation of heritage spaces and highlighting unique traditions of the Orang Laut/Pulau community, such as maritime craftsmanships, cuisine and spiritual practices.
