As a part of this year's Singapore HeritageFest (SHF) 2022, join us on a guided tour of 2 heritage centres: the Indian Heritage Centre and Nagore Dargah Indian Muslim Heritage Centre. With a thematic focus on travel and trade, find out more about the diverse Indian diaspora, in their journey from being sojourners to settlers.

 

Participants will start off with a tour of Indian Heritage Centre and will then take a chartered bus down to Telok Ayer area for a tour of the Nagore Dargah Indian Muslim Heritage Centre.

Indian Heritage Centre

The Indian Heritage Centre, under the management of the National Heritage Board and with support from the Indian community, traces the history of the Indian and South Asian communities in the Southeast Asian region. Situated at 5 Campbell Lane, the Centre also serves as a springboard for visitors to explore Little India and enjoy the sights, sounds and scents of the historical precinct.

In this special archaeology-themed tour, dig deep with curator Michael Ng as he shares insights and stories about the history of Empress Place, told through objects found during excavations in 1998 and 2015.
