Currently used by Swiss Hospitality Business and Hotel Management School Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL) as their Singapore campus, 3 Ladyhill Road, has been used in many ways since being expanded as the stately mansion of a wealthy merchant in the 1930s.

Among the roles it assumed was as a home-away-from-home during the Malayan Emergency, when it was a hostel for children of British military families stationed upcountry. Discover this little known aspect of the property’s history, as well as the site’s wider history through a tour of the mansion and its expansive grounds conducted by Jerome Lim.

The tour is supported by EHL and the Singapore Land Authority.
