Fancy kitchen gadgets are increasingly invading our kitchen space as they change the way we cook. How has the ease of technology helped us to cook local cuisines - traditionally prepared over an open fire or stove? Could we use a microwave to cook naan? Is an airfryer enough to ‘bake’ a pandan cake? Will they taste the same?

Find out as we go on an experiment to try out various local recipes using a microwave, airfryer or rice cooker. Join us on TIKTOK (@viddsee) and share your own #easyrecipe for a local dish. 10 TIKTOK entries with hashtags #easyrecipe and #SGheritageFest will win $100 NTUC FairPrice vouchers.

Contest starts on 7 May 2021, and ends on 27 May 2021. Only applicable for Singapore residents.
