You’ve seen the glowing lanterns during festivals—now learn how to make one! In this interactive workshop, participants will discover the history and symbolism of traditional lanterns, and craft their own using classic techniques. A fun and meaningful way to celebrate cultural heritage with the whole family.
Mr Francis Tan
Francis is a craftsman who has forged his own path from the beginning. Self-taught from a very young age, he describes  his journey as “ the long way round”. However, his diverse experiences in crafting and construction has allowed him to bring fresh techniques and perspective to traditional crafts. 


Known for his versatility, Francis often sought after for his skills in paper effigies making, woodcarving and lantern making/painting
