Try your hand at decorative tile cleaning in the historic townhouse of the Architectural Conservation Laboratory (ArClab).

The ArClab contains an array of historic tiles of various European and Japanese origins with Chinese symbolism, encapsulating Straits Chinese households’ affluence and eclectic aesthetics in the late 19th and 20th century. Learn about these historic tiles and the various appropriate cleaning techniques used in heritage conservation, and be guided in a hands-on workshop to apply these cleaning techniques to the ArClab’s decorative tiles.
