Blue Pea Wonder Workshop

Inspired by the exquisite blue pea flowers, this 2.5-hour culinary and craft workshop in Pasir Ris is centered on appreciating the butterfly pea plant, or Clitoria ternatea, that is native to Asia and known for its healing properties.

Helmed by artist Carlyn Law and educator Janna Hussain - two neighbours who bonded over the blue pea, this unique workshop will take participants back to the days of the kampong where they can harvest a variety of blue pea flowers, lemongrass and pandan leaf from the home garden to the kitchen table.

A collection of 12 essays on Nature, our Natural heritage and exploring the mutually shaping we have with nature and our natural heritage. The essays are all drawn from The Birthday Book main collection.

Our Oldest Heritage: 250 Years of Observing and Documenting Nature in Singapore

The digital exhibition will feature significant animals, plants and places that are signifiers of the natural heritage of Singapore in the form of visual materials with text to provide context and tie these into the larger natural history of the island.
