Create your own personal hand-bound travel journal at SPD’s inclusive craft workshops. Learn from scratch, including Coptic binding basic stapes, guided by our experienced artisans with disabilities in an inclusive setting. 

Participants will get to bring home their own A5/6 handbound travel journals. All materials and tools are provided and no prior experience is required.

Enabling Village

Enabling Village is the first inclusive community space in Singapore dedicated to integrating persons with disabilities in society. Located in Redhill and managed by SG Enable, it brings together community amenities, lifestyle retail services and inclusive programming for all with a special focus on disability-inclusive training and employment for persons with disabilities. Its community services include an inclusive pre-school, a community gym with specialised equipment, and an assistive technology centre.

SPD is a local charity set up to help people with disabilities of all ages to maximise their potential and integrate them into mainstream society. The sheltered workshop is one of SPD’s programmes providing vocational training for persons with disabilities. The SPD Artisan Collab is an initiative under the Sheltered workshop providing a platform for persons with disabilities to hone their skills in perfecting the art of bookbinding, leather-crafting & more.

An International Flower, For An International City

The orchid is commonly known by Singaporeans as our national flower - Vanda Miss Joaquim. While many countries have national flowers too, the orchid is more than a national flower in Singapore’s case. It is also a tool used in Singapore’s diplomatic relations.
